How our pricing works

Mid rate for orientation

This page shows the mid market rate so you can sanity check bureaus, ATMs, and anyone quoting you a number. It is deliberately not a promise.

Exact numbers at confirm

A real transaction computes the rate and every fee for your exact amount and method, and shows them before you approve. What you approve is what happens.

No hidden spread games

We never advertise one rate and settle at another quietly. If a fee or spread applies, it is a visible line on the quote, and the fees page documents it.

Questions

Is the calculator rate the rate I will get?

It is the indicative mid market rate from our live feed, refreshed about every five minutes. It is for orientation. When you actually transact on Mavunta, the exact rate and any fees are shown on the confirm screen before you pay, and that screen is the truth.

Where do the rates come from?

From the same live foreign exchange feed the platform itself uses for valuations, refreshed about every five minutes. Crypto prices come from our market data service, which aggregates major venues.

Why do you not show a buy and sell spread here?

Because we will not publish numbers the engine does not charge. Where a spread or fee applies it is computed for your exact transaction and shown before you confirm. Publishing a fake flat spread here would be marketing, not information.

Which currencies are included?

Nineteen currencies across East Africa, the Gulf, Europe, Asia, and the Americas, including KES, UGX, TZS, RWF, ETB, ZAR, NGN, GHS, EGP, USD, EUR, GBP, AED, SAR, INR, CNY, JPY, CAD, and AUD. For crypto rates in shillings, see the dedicated rate pages.
